SPRING 4-H HORSE SHOW, MAY 21

Sunday May 21, is the date for the 2017 4-H Horse Show. held at the UConn Cooperative Extension Center grounds, at 67 Stony Hill Road in Bethel. The popular open schooling show features divisions in English Equitation, Western Riding, Hunt Seat, and Mini- horses. Most classes are pinned through 8th place. All division winners are awarded champion and reserve ribbons and a trophy. New this year are Medal Classes and a stick horse class for youth 10 and under.

2017 4-H Horse Show sponsors include Fairfield County Extension Council, Benedict’s Home and Garden, Monroe, All the King’s Horse Tack Shop, Ridgefield, Newtown Bridle Lands Association, Sunnybrook Farm, Newtown, Silver Horse Shoe Stables, Milford, Agriventures Agway, Over the Hill Farm, Brewster, and Next Hill Farm Carriage Driving Miniatures, Newtown. According to show manager, Chris Schilling, “The support of these companies greatly enhance our fundraising efforts.”
