KEYNOTE SPEAKER DENNY EMERSON

AT ITS 14^TH ANNUAL WEEKEND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

Bedford, NY – Dressage4Kids, Inc. announces its 14^th annual Weekend Educational Program to be held on January 30 and 31, 2016 at Nonnewaug High School, 5 Minortown Road, Woodbury, CT.

This year Dressage4Kids welcomes Olympic Eventing rider and well-known trainer, Denny Emerson, as a keynote speaker. Mr. Emerson is noted not only for his successful equestrian career, but also for the number of horses he has brought up through the levels from the lowest all the way to the 4*** at International and Olympic level. Some of these horses he bred himself, and his select stallions are still found in the bloodlines of top eventers to this day. In addition, he has a huge following on his Tamarack Hill Farm Facebook page where he dispenses advice and information on horse-related and general ‘life’ subjects. He offers lessons in Vermont during the summer and in Southern Pines, North Carolina during the winter, and his week-long summer Riding Camps are always popular. His expertise in training and coaching to the highest levels in all three disciplines is renowned, and Mr. Emerson was inducted into the United States Eventing Association (USEA) Hall of Fame. The author of How Good Riders Get Good: Daily Choices That Lead to Success in Any Equestrian Sport, he writes frequent articles giving sage advice on many subjects and voicing his opinions on current events in the horse world. Mr. Emerson is dedicated to sharing his knowledge to help riders do their best for horses – which he feels should always be anyone’s first priority.

As always, the Weekend Educational Program will offer many horse-related seminars on a variety of topics such as – how to improve your riding and training skills; best practices in horse management, including horse health, stable management and correct fitting of tack; marketing and insuring your business properly; and insights into the importance of fitness for horse and rider. Lessons giving advice on drawing and photography, along with demonstrations of vaulting and interactive sessions on Pilates for riders, will also be part of the weekend. There is a Trainers Track, which offers insights into many aspects of teaching, including tips on achieving good, solid basics for horses and riders, and how to reach the upper levels successfully – all offered by top trainers and specialists.

Designed to be of great value for riders of all ages and skill level, parents, and trainers, the Weekend Educational Program has proved very popular as it includes everyone from the horse community, and the two-day event provides great networking opportunities with fellow riders and trainers from many areas of the USA. Two-time Olympian Lendon Gray started the Weekend Educational Program 14 years ago with the goal of helping riders, parents, and instructors gain a better understanding of the good horsemanship skills that are necessary, not only for basic horse health and happiness, but that will also contribute to success in the show-ring. Lendon will again be sharing her expertise on a variety of subjects over the weekend.
