Four days of world-class show jumping and combined driving set to take center stage

OCALA, Florida - February 1, 2018 - The spotlight will shine bright at Live Oak Plantation in Ocala, Fla. on March 15-18, as top equestrians and equine athletes in show jumping and combined driving compete at the Live Oak International for national titles and the last chance to qualify for the 2018 Longines FEI World Cup Final in Paris, France in April.
In the last leg of the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping North American League, those seeking the golden ticket to ride in the World Cup Final in Paris will be pulling out all the stops to win the $100,000 CSI-W3* Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Qualifier Grand Prix, presented by Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club, on Sunday, March 18. Classes leading up to final qualifier include the $10,000 Waldron Private Wealth 1.40m Power and Speed Stake and the two $35,000 CSI3* Longines World Ranking Class Qualifiers on Friday and Saturday.

"Having both combined driving and show jumping at one venue with national championships and a chance to go to the Longines FEI World Cup creates an atmosphere like no other. Last year's event was thrilling, and we look forward to showcasing top-notch driving and show jumping again."
Adding to the excitement of the weekend, seven USEF National Champions will be crowned in combined driving. Hosting the National Championship for the Advanced Four-in-Hand Horse for a third year in a row, Live Oak Plantation will also be the stage that determines champions in the Intermediate divisions of Single Pony, Pair Pony, Pony Team, Single Horse, Pair Horse, Four-in-Hand Horse. Driving begins with Dressage on Thursday, March 15; continues with the Marathon on Saturday, March 17 and concludes with the Obstacles on Sunday, March 18.
Competition begins each day at 8:30 a.m. and continues through the afternoon. Over 10,000 spectators attend each year, so everyone will want to be sure to arrive early, especially for Saturday's marathon. General admission tickets are now available online or at the gate for $10 per person, with proceeds going to selected local charities and non-profit organizations. Children under 12 receive free admission and will enjoy Live Oak's new Kid Zone, filled with fun activities during the competition. Parking for the event is free.
